Staff manages the daily operations of the County Party, including voter services, candidate support, volunteer coordination, communications, finance, and administration. 

Forrest Richardson, Executive Director (forrest@jacksoncodems.org

Forrest is a lifelong Missourian who joined the Jackson County Democratic Committee in January 2022 after working countless campaigns in both Missouri and elsewhere. Forrest attended Savannah High School in Savannah, Missouri, and attended the University of Kansas, where he studied Political Science. After college, he got his first job in politics working for gubernatorial candidate Chris Koster in 2016, and has since worked on campaigns for Congress, Secretary of State, State Legislature, and Mayor across the country.

Forrest is passionate about the policies championed by the Democratic Party, specifically for public education, healthcare access, labor rights, equal rights, and environmental issues. He believes that JCDC is at its best when we are working together as a community to build a better Democratic Party that can best serve the people of Jackson County.

Forrest resides in Kansas City and is an avid fan of the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks, as well as a cold brew and a good conversation.
